1) What if I am Claustrophobic?

We have two different float pods that can meet anyone’s needs. First, our Evolution Float Pod has an adjustable lid that can be left cracked if you prefer. The second style of float pod is the Deluxe Float Suite which is very spacious and has a 7 foot ceiling so there is plenty of space above you while floating.

2) What should I wear?

The best way to float is in your birthday suit! Floating nude allows the sensory of touch to be minimized. The float water is kept at a skin neutral 93.5 degrees so the line between the water and your body is erased. Each float pod is in a private room with shower and all the amenities you’ll need for your float session.

3) How do you clean the Float Pods?

We have robust sanitation procedures for the facility & float pods and it is our top priority to provide a clean, safe environment for the perfect relaxation experience.

We follow standards set by the NC Health Department as well as the Float Tank Association in order to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness. Before and after every client session, the entire volume of the saltwater solution is filtered 5 times through a complex 4 step water sterilization & filtration system which consist of a 1 micron filter that is FDA approved, another pool filter, an ultra-violet (UV) sanitation, an ozone purification system, and a residual disinfectant.

4) What happens if I fall asleep?

Because of the buoyancy of the float water it is safe if you fall asleep while floating. While it does happen, most often you’re not drifting off to sleep but entering what is call the Theta brain state - the space in between conscious, alertness and unconscious, sleep. It is the brain waves that are activated by meditation.

5) Can I float if I'm pregnant?

The conditions of every pregnancy can be different and all expecting mothers should seek the approval of their doctor before floating. However, in general, after your first trimester it is safe to float and many have found floating to be a great relief due to the weightlessness of the body while floating. Floating is also a wonderful way to bond with your baby.
